Christmas Celebrations

On the weekend before Christmas, Robert and I celebrated the holidays with most of his family in Bismarck at his sister Debbie's house. The food and the company were all wonderful and we had a very good time. Had lots fun spoiling Hunter and McKenzie. They are both growing like little weeds. Then on the following Monday, Robert's younger brother, Randy, had a heart attack on his birthday and we nearly had to make an emergency trip to Fargo. We were supposed to have Christmas Day with Scott and his family but mother nature sent us a blizzard so that has been postponed to January 3rd. We are finally all dug out from the nearly 2 feet of snow the blizzard dumped on us. Now we are expecting artic air to come in for the New Year, so winter will be a challenge again.

In November, I joined the gym that has been opened here in Wishek. So far the exercising is going good and my clothes are starting to fit better so we shall see what the future brings with that. I am hoping to lose some weight and improve my health and well being too.

Fathers Day photos

I spent the day with Scott and Cheryl and family yesterday and I got updated pictures of Scott and Cheryl and their kids including Cheryl's oldest with her family. They are all growing like weeds. The top picture is Scott and Cheryl with Breeonna, 13, April, 11, and Anthony, 8. The second picture is Marc and Stacey Lear, Cheryl's oldest daughter and their three boys, Brendan, 5, Ethan, 13 months, and Jaden, 6 weeks. We had a great day with delicious food and lots of fun with the little ones.

New Great Grandbaby

I became Great Grandma again this week. Scott and Cheryl's oldest daughter had another little boy, so now there are 3 great grandsons. The link to see his picture is: http://www.st.alexius.org/customers/babies/nursery/baby_photo.asp?BabyID=9969

Will have to get pictures of all three of them together one of these days and post them.
Now all we need is for the weather to finally warm up and stay warm.

Robert's Birthday

We had a small celebration last Saturday, January 17, for Robert's birthday which was on Friday, January 16. Her turned 52!! His mother and her friend were down and I made us a big roaster of lazy pigs in the blankets. We had a good time and the food was wonderful, if I must say so myself. His Mom brought the cake from Jamestown. He shaved the fur off his face on Sunday. He lets it grow until it bugs him in the winter time so it helps to keep his face warmer.

Snow in My Back Yard

This is what we have had to do to my yard so I can actually get out of my driveway after the wind blows again. Right now as it stands, I could flood my backyard and have a skating rink in it. We have actually had a couple weeks without a storm and more snow so that is a miracle. Hope it lasts a bit longer because we are all sick to death of snow and being snowed in. I hope the storms hold off until I am done with supervisor training and get sent home to work, and then it can storm again if it wants too and I will be able to keep on working. Bailey loves the big area of back yard to run in when she can stand the cold long enough to go out side and run to her little hearts content. We just hope that spring comes soon this year and we can keep from floating away in the floods that are bound to come after all of the snow. Driving the streets in town are like driving down little valleys with all the huge piles of snow pushed up along all the streets. I actually get rather claustrophobic with all of this snow piled up everywhere. Oh well, it is a normal winter and not one of the dry ones that we have gotten so used to the last few years so things should be better this year for the farmers.
